It has started from China (precisely from Wuhan) but currently captured more than 188 countries and total number of deaths till 22nd March are more than 13K. It is different from the common coronaviruses which causes mild illness like the common cold. People detected with COVID-19 were treated differently from the common corona viruses. The first case was detected on 17th November 2019, a 55 year old man from Hubei province. After that day at least one to five cases were reported on almost everyday. The first double digit daily rise was reported on December 17 and by December 20th the total number of confirmed cases had reached 60 as per South China Morning Post. When china found out about the new form of virus (COVID-19) instead of making people aware about it China not only opted to remain silent but started hiding facts and punishing whistleblowers China intentionally tried to hide the facts about the virus. Below are the few steps taken by them to hide the information. As per sources – Ai Fen, a top director at Wuhan Central Hospital, posts information on WeChat about the new virus. She was reprimanded for doing so and told not to spread information about it. As per CNN : Wuhan doctor Li Wenliang also shares information on WeChat about the new Coronavirus. While he was also suffering from the virus, Police Authorities inspected him – to know the source of the virus and later made him signed a form where he accepts that he is spreading rumours & doing an illegal act and ready for the punishment. Instead of making the Wuhan doctor Li Wenliang a hero China administration punished him and he had to pay the price for being honest and vocal about the coronavirus. An official at the Hubei Provincial Health Commission orders labs, which had already determined that the novel virus was similar to SARS, to stop testing samples and to destroy existing samples. How the world is reacting If this problem was taken care of responsibly than Coronavirus would have remained in Wuhan only and then treating people in one place would be very easy comparatively. A study published in March indicated that if Chinese authorities had acted three weeks earlier than they did, the number of coronavirus cases could have been reduced by 95% and its geographic spread limited. Today as on 24th of March 2020, the confirmed infected cases are more the 3,80,000 all over the world, and it took 67 days to reach first 100,000, 12 days to reach next 100,000 and only 4 days to reach 300,000 from 200,000. Properties of Human Hair Before moving forward let’s touch on the basic properties of human hair, it will give a new insight to understand what is human hair and how you can take care of it.   Hair Cuticles This is the most common property of human hair which is known to almost everyone that it has a coating which is called Cuticles. Human hair is surrounded by a coating which is called cuticles, it provides the hair from external harmful conditions like bad weather, bad chemicals, etc.   Cylindrical in shape Human hair is cylindrical in shape. The reason we have mentioned this property is that there is a lot of mixing happening in the market and one is fiber fillings. There is a fiber that looks like a hair and is very soft/silky however when you keep that fiber under the microscope you will see that the particular fiber isn’t cylindrical in shape instead it’s flat. Ashes To test the hair, when you burnt it, it will turn into ashes however if the hair is synthetic it will turn into small plastic balls and produce a plastic-like smell while burning. However, synthetic hair has good elasticity and is not very pro to hair breakage. Typical Hair smell Human hair has a very typical and unique smell which is influenced by the smell of shampoo & conditioner or by chemicals if used by the vendor. Please keep in mind that if you pack the hair wet in plastic it will produce a bad smell, so always dry the hair completely before packing it if you have to for your customer. Non-Elastic Human Hair is non-elastic, which means that if you put pressure on the hair it will break. That’s the reason we always suggest handling the hair should be gentle. Never be harsh to the hair, while combing also. What is Shedding? Let’s understand what is shedding. When you comb the hair, hair strands come out from the bundle and are stuck on the comb this isn’t shedding always. It could be shedding or hair breakage. You need to understand the difference between shedding & hair breakage. Hair breakage happens when you put excessive pressure on the hair and the hair couldn’t bear that pressure and that’s why it breaks. It happens when you comb the hair or run your fingers through the hair. Hair breakage is one of the properties of the hair. Shedding happens when the hair comes out from the weft/stitching part. In other words, you can also so say shedding is something when the hair comes out from the mustache of the weft. This is a manufacturing defect that can only be controlled by stitching the weft again and by using good-quality glue. To see how shedding looks like please click here.   As we have shared the major difference between hair shedding and hair breakage we would suggest you please always check whether it’s a hair breakage or a shedding.   The best way to see that is to check the top end of the broken hair strand, if it came out from the weft you can see the folds on the strand which happens because of the mustache of the weft.   However, if it’s a breakage then you won’t see any folds on the hair strand, you will see just a blunt breakage on the top end of the strand.   How you can control the Hair Breakage Hair breakage can be controlled by only taking care of the hair. There are few points which you can follow and reduce the stress on the hair.   How often you should shampoo and condition the hair People tend to believe that if the hair is completely raw and natural it can be shampooed in any which way. However, we would suggest always shampoo the Hair as gently as possible. Harsh treatment of the hair or use of poor quality hair shampoo would break or burn the cuticles of the hair which eventually reduces the lifespan of the hair. Many websites also suggest shampooing the hair only twice a month. The theory for this practice is that the more you shampoo the hair, the more you apply chemicals on the hair and the more you apply chemicals on the hair the more it affects the quality of the Hair and there is no need to shampoo the Hair that often because your hair doesn’t get the oil from the scalp. Our opinion is contrary to the theory mentioned above. To increase the lifespan of your hair it should be shampooed & conditioned at least once a week. Indeed, your hair doesn’t get the oil from the scalp but your hair has cuticles and there is a high possibility that dust particles and other sorts of impurities present in the air settle in the cuticles of the hair.Once these impurities settle on the hair it damages the hair and start affects the lifespan. So this time we thought to discuss how the hair should be taken care of so that the quality & life expectancy of the Raw Hair can be preserved and by doing this not only Raw Hair, even if you have purchased any other quality of Human Hair, you can at least maintain the quality of it to some extent. So let’s start spilling the beans on techniques to take care of your hair (Raw Hair). Shampoo & Conditioner – Many websites claim that you can shampoo & condition the hair once in every 15 days because your hair isn’t getting any oil from the scalp it is okay to do it less frequently. However, our belief system suggests completely opposite to this. We believe that the Hair isn’t getting any nutrients from your scalp so you have to provide those minerals from the external world and for that, you need to shampoo & condition the hair quite often. Secondly, there are dust particles present in the air which settles in the cuticles and if not remove it immediately it will damage the hair.  Working of Shampoo & Conditioner – Shampoo creates foam and cleans the cuticles, hair length, and scalp however conditioner is the external source of proteins. Conditioner provides all sorts of important proteins required by the hair so never skip conditioning of the hair. It’s very very important. Oiling – Oiling is something that is important to your Hair. Many people claim that oiling is beneficial only to the scalp which isn’t true. When you apply oil it softens, provides nutrients, and at the same time, it cleans the cuticles. Be Gentle – We have observed that people believe that if the hair is genuine raw temple hair then they can handle it the way they want which is false. How many of you are really irritated with shedding & tangling with the Hair Extensions, I guess all of us because Tanging & Shedding are the most common and one of the biggest problem we all face. So let’s discuss how to avoid shedding & tangling. I believe everyone of you tried so many vendors who are self proclaimers that their Hair won’t Shed & Tangle but when it comes to the practicality, all their Hair Extension sheds and all the self proclaimers just disappear or starts justifying the shedding part. But let’s start from the basics and discuss what is Shedding. What is Shedding? To understand what is shedding let me give you a short background of “How to make a Hair Extension”? When a Hair is collected from the respective source, then that is called bulk Hair. Bulk Hair needs to be shampoo (washed gently) to remove all the dust particles and other sort of impurities (if any)which were settled in the cuticles. After the cleaning stage Bulk Hair the track is made by sewing the Hair on the threads. When the Hair strand comes out from the track that is called Shedding, and hair coming out any other way isn’t shedding. Is their any other problem which looks like Shedding? Yes, their is one more thing which isn’t shedding but it looks like shedding & that is called Breakage. Yes both these issues looks similar as in both the cases Hair comes out from the weft. In fact the reason behind these issues are extreme opposite of each other. It refers to breaking, snapping & shattering of hair strand caused by various external force and poor hair care, it isn’t a normal process but rather happens when a hair can no longer stand the pressure extended on it. Natural Human Hair has limited capacity to resist the force (Hair is non-elastic in nature) and after that capacity Hair strand breaks whereas synthetic hair is elastic in nature. And when the track is made with good machines and perfect mechanism/methodology then Natural Hair won’t come out from the track but it breaks and sometimes happen during the combing the process as well. Reason for Shedding & Breakage? Reason for Shedding – Shedding happens due to the bad mechanism of sewing, or using old school machines in the manufacturing process or using bad quality or not using a glue. When you see the shedded hair from the top you will see the moustache folds which simply says that the Hair comes our from the track. Please refer the below video for the same. In this Hair does’t come our from the track and you can’t see the moustache. It’s simply the breakage of the Hair somewhere from the middle of the hair strand. We use 4 head machine during the making of Hair extensions. Four head machine is the most latest technology in the market. In this machine you have a long table, and on that long table you have four heads which makes/strengthens the track which reduces the possibility of shedding. We not only using 4 head machine but we also use imported glue which improvises the grip of the track. Where our competitors are using regular glue to keep the cost in control, we uses imported high quality glue either from Japan or from Korea so that we can control the shedding. How to avoid shedding & tangling? (Video & Use comb instead of Hair brushes) To avoid shedding & tangling or breakage we would suggest you to be very particular the way you comb your hair and the comb you select. Many times we have noticed that people are using Hair brushes and not being gentle while combing their Hair and starts from the top and goes to the bottom, however in our opinion this shouldn’t be the case. You should use wide tooth comb initially and always starts combing the hair from the bottom and goes upward inch by inch. Once you able to comb the entire weft smoothly in one go with the wide tooth comb then if you want you can switch to fine tooth comb however we would still suggest you to not to for Hair brushes. As far as the health of the Hair is concern or cuticles are concern we always suggest to use wide tooth comb. To maintain the health of the Hair you should focus on shampoo & conditioner of the Hair.   Use shampoo whose PH level is less than 6. Never skip conditioning the Hair. Always shampoo the Hair in warm water. Treat the hair gently. If you consider the above mentioned points and you use the wide tooth comb.
